Monopo-Linkage
A friend of mine's working up a near human-sized Monopoly game for some friends and associates. This here's a list of links that I thought might either be helpful to her to accomplish her job of making a personalized Monopoly game, or it'll help her get through the stressful experience of making a personalized Monopoly game. Mostly I found stuff about Monopoly's trials and tribulations thoughout it's near century old history. Probably not very useful to you but very interesting all the same.
- Flowchart (of course) of how Monopoly started and where it went.
- More Than A Game Britannica.com's resource list, from Parker to Gates.
- Darrow's White Box What Monopoly looked like in 1933, compleat with rules. One of the oldest near-mint sets known to exist.
- The Onion reports on Parker Brother's anti-trust issues with the government. *smirk*
- What a Tangled web we weave, eh? A report from 1976 that Darrow may not have been the inventor of Monopoly. The plot thickens over fifty years later.
- DotcomOpoly Parker Brothers brings us a sign of the apocalypse.
- The Drinking Game ...I kid you not.
